Ancestral Beats is the audiovisual project of Colombian producer and artist Nicolás Cantor. Its sound moves between IDM, techno, bass music and psychedelia, shaped by Afro-Colombian, Indigenous and Latin American rhythmic memory. Built for the stage and the dancefloor, the project brings together machines, percussion, improvisation and visuals in a physical live experience where experimentation and movement are never separate.

Human Design, the new album and audiovisual work, pushes that exploration into questions of identity, body, perception and the things we inherit, repeat and eventually begin to experience as our own. Across eleven tracks, photography, painting, movement and text, the work does not try to resolve those tensions. It stays inside them, turning them into sound, image and presence.
